Alkyd resin (synthetic resin -) of lacquers
Synthetic varnishes have the following consumer-relevant advantages opposite the acryl or nitro combi lacquers:
- Universal applicableness
Synthetic resin lacquers are applicable for a multiplicity of undergrounds, like metal, wood, different plastics, glass as well as other natural materials in the decoration range, like baskets, cork etc. - High polish
Synthetic resin laquers have to show a clearly higher gloss value opposite acryl lacquers. - Filling power / cover strength
Particularly on wood, cork etc., synthetic resin lacquers stop better at the surface and are not taken up so fast by absorbent undergrounds. - By slower drying process been suitable even for larger surfaces
The lacquer is longer "open" after the spraying, that means that visible beginnings and transitions cannot develop. The wet layer of lacquer has more time for the "process". - Over-painted of old synthetic resin layers
These cannot be usually over-painted because of the solvents used there with our acrylate or nitrocellulose combinations, since swelling and blistering can take place. - Clearly lower price
The raw materials which can be used are clearly more inexpensive than in the acryl row.
